As the saying goes “First impressions last forever”. First impressions are equally as important in business as it is in other areas of life. In business, most first impressions occur as a customer service to a client. If the service leaves the customer unimpressed, the company is bound to lose making that business happen and, in some cases, many more.
To understand the effect of customer service on businesses, Dimensional Research teamed up with Zendesk to conduct a survey. The result of the study has been briefly highlighted in the infographic below. The report shows that 24% of customers continue to seek out services 2 years after experiencing good customer service while 30% continue to avoid services 2 years after being treated with poor customer service.
